I think that for the policemen a gun can be the only safety, in some situations, but they don’t have to abuse of their authority, so they should use the gun only when the situations are really dangerous, for them or for someone innocent, and don't use it for a political ideal. 

In USA we have many examples of the irresponsible use of arms and authority for mere hatred reasons, like the episode of Maurice Gordon, the black man assassinated with six shoots only for his skin tone from a white cop. On 23rd May 2020, while he was driving his car too fast, the cop stopped him, but when Maurice got out of the car, the cop sprayed an itching spray first, and after a fight he fired Maurice, who was innocent and disarmed, now the policeman has been suspended until the end of the investigation.
